first you will have to supply a pic of your tube with all the bends and tube length from block entrance to the end.
Just why are you asking.length is dependent on the length of the outer tube.
can you pull the pan drain plug and just add 4 qts to see what level that cones too?
Mine is the standard mercruiser 1989 350 mag right side (facing forward) with no stamped pn on it. The OK range measures from 31 1/4 to 32 inches from the base of the cap (the point that would be at the top of the tube).
I sure hope you don't assume your 2005 dipstick is the same as an 85 or 89. It isn't.
I know the OEM service manuals give you the dipstick measurements, but you also need the correct manual.
Trust me, saying 05 5.0/5.7 isn't going to work.

yea I feel like an idiot just pulled up my service manual and I somehow completely missed the page... on a plus note looks the the manual has a misprint...it has length c at 33.25 inches...hehe which is a quarter of an inch shorter than length a!!! Thanks for the quick help!
