I have oil filled bearings on my boat trailer. I haven't had the boat out yet but I will soon. What kind of maintenance do I need do to on these bearings? I know about conventional grease filled bearings, but I have never known anyone with this type so I don't know what do with them.

Periodicly inspect the hub for leaks. Check the oil for proper level and dont let the trailer sit still to long bacause the bearing being out of the oil bath will rust

Does the end of you axle have see through caps on them? If so there will be a line on it for the fill level. To add oil i think it is 90 weight oil. There is no maintance to them unless you have a leak, and that is usually the seal in the rear. If you want to change the oil there should be a screw or bolt on the outer end of the hub for draining. Unscrew the plug turn wheel 180 degrees and let drain.
