Oil filter for Volvo Penta 3.0, 1998

I can't find an alternate oil filter for my Volvo Penta 3.0 other than a volvo filter. Is there anyone that can give me alternate filters for this? Thanks in advance

volvo penta buys the same 3.0 liter engine from GM that Mercruiser and OMC did.

I know if you google it, you will find hundreds of threads on the same thing.

companies like Wix and purolator have application guides and cross reference listings

The short gm inline 6 230 or 250 cu inch works just fine

Click the link, 'n scroll down aways, you'll see the Volvo part numbers there,....

There's several 13/16"-16 filters that fit these Chevy motors,....
Differences are how much oil they'll hold,.....
The 1060 is nearly a quart, the 1069 is 'bout 1/2" shorter, so less capacity,....
