Oil filter

Hi everyone just a quick one ,about to carry out a oil change on my 4.3 mercruiser 1993 ,do i need a normal filter or remote oil filter many thanks james........

Look at your engine, is your filter mounted up on the exhaust manifold (Remote) or on the Port side of the block down by the oil pan?

Hi don filter is on the port side ,down very low if that helps .thanks james

Then it's not a remote filter as I noted before.

You have the small filter, Merc part number 35-883702Q.

Wix equivalent 51036 or 51036XP.

I've got Ryco, Fram, Cooper, Fleetguard and Baldwin numbers too.
