Hi there! I'm new to the whole outboard motor and what not. Well I bought a 2.5hp Mercury Outboard on eBay and for safety reasons it was shipped with no oil. I will be using it on a Sevylor 12" Hunting Fishing to be used in Dana Point Harbor. I was told I needed gear oil so do I go to a place like West Marine to pick up any kind of gear oil? Also do I need oil to mix in with the gas? Thanks guys!
