Oil for 270 outdrive.

Hi folks,
I have a 83 or 84 VP AQ125A with a 270 outdrive. I have heard that 30w engine oil is ok for the outdrive. Is this acceptable. If not what should I use? Thank you, Nicky1

yes, 30w.

Under the cover on the rear of the drive.
There is an allen head screw.
5/16 I believe.
That's where you fill the drive.
