Oil for Mercury 60HP Bigfoot

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could tell what kind of oil i would need to do an oil change. Also if it would need to be synthetic or semi synthetic or not. Thanks

Hi there Shtukscoda, By chance, what year is your outboard and just to clarify, you have a 4 stroke engine Correct? Engine serial number would be better if possible.

Also are you going to want to change out the lower gear housing oil as well?

Hi i can check the serial number when i get off work, but yes it is a four stroke, and it is a 2013.

If its a 2013 you should have the manual, it will have all the information you need to choose an oil for the motor and the lower unit.
