Oil for my 4.3L engine

I'm doing an oil change/flush this weekend on my 4.3L OMC... is there a special kind of oil I should use or will any 10W40 suffice? Thanks for your help on this.

I always run 30w in every boat I have had no problems but do change every year. But that is what my manual calls for. What does yours call for?

If you don't want to use what the manufacturer suggests, then here are a few links to other oil threads to help assist you in choosing your oil.
