Hi I just got a 95 bayliner capri 2050 LS. I'm not quite sure what motor is in it. But looking at it it has 2 oil caps, one on each side of the block. There is a black elbow, which looks like there should be a hose attached to it, on both oil covers. My question is is there supposed to be a hose there and do they connect to each other or go somewhere else? I will post a pic of it tomorrow, when its daylight out.

Ok yes it's a V8. I circled the part I'm talking about in yellow. You can't see the one in the upper right, but circled the location. My main question is do they connect to each other, with a tube, or would they go somewhere else?

They are just hoses that go up to the flame arrestor but it looks like your missing the connectors that go on the flame arrestor or the plastic cover the hoses fit into

Ok thanks for the info. So I should just be able to add some hose to it and secure it flame arrestor?

Yes, otherwise the oil will windup more on the motor

5/8 heater hose works to replace the plastic corrugated hose from the factory

Thanks again for all the good info, and the pics. I'll make sure to measure the fitting to get the correct size tubes.
