Oil in Exhaust

Does the presence of oil in the exhaust pose a problem? I am running a 2003 60 hp 4stroke Merc. after running for an hour or so, I have noticed oil running from the exhaust port down the motor cover. I'm not sure if it is lower unit lube or engine oil.

There was an update listed for the 60hp Fourstrokes about the adapter plate bolts breaking off or coming loose.<br /><br />Also..check the T-stat to see if the engine is running rich.<br /><br />TMD
