oil in outdrive w/picture

well, there be water in this outdrive! now what? drain it, pressure test, maybe reseal, then refill? or is this outdrive basically gone?

Difficult to tell from what you describe......

Maybe you should drain, pressure test, maybe reseal and refill.......

That one looks to be in rough shape. The is a lot of pitting on the outside too. You may be in for more work than the drive is worth.

I would be pulling the outdrive too. Bet money there is water in the ujoint bellows.

You also need to look up in the Adults Only sticky at the Mercruiser Manuals link, and download manual #14 for your drive. You might want to read some of the other dinformation there as well. Looks like your drive is lacking a lot of preventive maintenance.
