oil injection bypass on 87 150 xr2

I just bought a boat with an 87 merc 150 xr2 and the guy had been pre mixing the oil. the oil injection is still connected...but no oil is being put in it. should something be disconnected or is it alright to run it premixed with the injection system still hooked up? any comments would be greatly appreciated.

If the previos owner has done this a long time,your're probably ok.I would have to cap any hoses or lines to be sure no air/dirt could get in. <br />DHP
