Well after a lot of research- found out my 115 mariner has a bad cylinder. So I shoped around for another engine. I was given a 87-88 merc 80 hp today for free in "as-is" condition. I got her home and flushed the goo out of the carbs. Put in 3 new plugs, noticed the oil injection tank/wires/buzzer and throttle rod are MIA. The oil pump feed hose has been pluged off. I put some 50-1 in her and 3-4 attemps she is running and pissing a steady stream. The engine is idling pretty high- like 2k or there abouts??? I am gonna rebuild the carbs today, and then I need to figure out how to "properly" finish removing the oil system. Anyone out there who has done this? I wish the unit was all in tack, I hear that they are pretty reliable. Thx-
