Have you had the carbs off recently before this problem?

I have seen the oil control valve linkage reattached with the valve turned 180 degrees off the correct position, leaving the valve near wide open at an idle and reducing oil flow as the throttle is advanced.

Check the first 'sticky' post at the top of this forum, follow the links inside to the service manual for your model. Look up the oil pump/valve linkage and adjustment, verify that it is installed and set correctly.
