oil injection removal

I have a 1989 pro v 150 with oil injection, went to test and pump runs all the time. So i got shop book out tested the float's, if i done it right the main oil tank float is bad. Even held both floats in up position it still ran. So this is my question can you remove the system is so how? Has any body done this? I would rather mix the old fashion way. No pump to fail. As far can tell the mix is 50:1 . I use to have a 1972 chrysler 105 no luck with it bought this one hope its better. Any info would be great:d

Fix the oil system and be done with it, the Yamaha system is very robust and well worth getting fixed properly.
