Oil Injection Working?????????????

I have a 1987 yamaha pro v 150. how can i tell if my oil injection is working. I just bought the boat and i am still working on the clean up and cleaning the motor parts i have only ran it on the hose.

Mark the oil level on the tank. Mix up some 50:1 premix fuel and run her on that for a while.

If the injection is working (Yammy oil injection almost never fails) you will be running her on something close to 24:1 and the oil level in the tank will go down around a pint after you have burned about 6 gallons.

Running her on 24:1 will do no harm except maybe more than usual smoke and the drop in the oil level in the tank will prove that the oil injection is working.

If the oil level in the tank does not drop the injection is not working.

make sure you mark the remote tank as the engine tank refills automatically.
