First I need to know engine yr Sn# DE124503 supposed to be a 96 force 50 horse.Just bought the boat off a dealer he claimed he didnt know the yr.2nd how many water outlets are their,I have 1 under the cover 1 on the port and starb. side of lower unit 1 just above the prop,1 on the front side half way down.and 1 I dont think should be their its on the port side just above the lower unit gasket a little square whole that I think should be sealed???I noticed milky water out of the prop after flushing then 8 hrs later after sitting black oil from the prop, also the water out lets after flushing seems to be oily or gas in it.I red tht forces need to be decarbed fine and will check lower unit oil in am.I will dump the gas in the tank and re fill but at what mixture. It starts on first turn Idles good throttles up good compression at 135,132.could all this be just needing new plugs and gaskets its been sitting at least 2 yrs thanks all from florida

Re: oil leak

Instead of DE124503 I believe it is OE124503 which would be 1995 and the gas to oil mixture is 50 to 1. The exhaust is routed through the lower unit which is the black oily stuff you are seeing and is natural.

Re: oil leak

Hi, if the motor has been sitting that long, what it needs is a new waterpump, unless the dealer installed one recently.<br /><br />Yes a decarb of the engine is a very good idea.<br /><br />As for the water "outlets",<br /><br />"I have 1 under the cover", <br />this is your telltale, lets you know that the water pump is working.<br /><br />"1 on the port and starb. side of lower unit 1 just above the prop", <br />these are your water INLETS, they supply water to the waterpump."<br /><br />"1 on the front side half way down"<br />This is an exhaust relief hole, some water may spritz out of it.<br /><br />"and 1 I dont think should be their its on the port side just above the lower unit gasket a little square whole that I think should be sealed???<br />Its a drain hole to assure no water pools in the midsection of the motor.<br /><br />The main water discharge is through the propeller hub. The water exits here, along with the exhaust.<br /><br />The black oily discharge is a mixture of unburnt fuel, water, and carbon, draining out of the motor. Doing a thorough decarb of the engine will get rid of much of it.<br /><br />Click: the decarb process
