Finishing up transom kit rebuild and only have the oil hose to bell housing connection left, it’s kicking my butt. Any tips? I have not driven the uni bellow sleeve on yet so I can pull the bellows out of the bell housing. Not sure if that will help ant though....just a blind stab with a tight connection in a bad spot. I’m sure I should have done things in a different order

you are correct in the assembly order. Being VERY careful not to break off the plastic barb you need to:
slip the bellow off the gimbal side , remove the hinge pins, pull gimbal rearward, and you should see the brass barbed fitting .working with needle nose from inside the gimbal force fitting onto barb and ty-wrap it

Put ty-wrap on the brass fitting real loose before installing hose. I use full strength dawn soap n the hose

Thanks guys. Removing the uni bellows from the bell housing was the ticket. Sometimes you got to step back after a long day and regroup. First time doing all this. Wasn’t too bad of a job. Oil hose was definitely the most challenging part. I believe I got the uni bellows retaining ring in properly. Can someone take a look at my picture and tell me if it looks good please

thanks!!!
