Oil not pumping to motor

I have a 97 225 Yamaha that does not pump oil to motor from tank in boat. I have replaced float switch and cdi still not pumping. Will pump when holding emergency switch. Emergency switch is located on side of motor. Trim switch works fine. Two reputable Yamaha dealers have no idea what the problem could be.

Hal - A big welcome!! You will get a far better response if you move this to the Suzuki & Yamaha section. They do there own thing there.

dude have you checked the oil filter in the tank?<br /> I would find another dealer. this system is very simple and works well. the brown wire at the pump is 12v with key on and the CDI grounds the blue wire for oil transfer. the emergency switch bypasses the CDI and manually grounds the blue wire to the pump. sounds like a dealer that is skeert of a multimeter, find another or your parts bill will skyrocket.<br />good luck check the link that seahorse sent ya and post back if ya need more.

If the filter was clogged why would the emergency pump still work. thanks for everything
