Can a leaking oil pan gasket have an adverse effect on how my engine runs?

When I pull the motor to replace the oil pan gasket should i replace the rear main seal?

While the motor is out and upside down on the stand, with the oil pan off is there anything else i should look for while im there?

Thank you all!

Nope, a oil pan leak should have nothin' at all to do with runability issues,...

It's a 2-pc main,... if it ain't leakin', 'n ya don't disturb the crank, no reason to change it,....

You can look 'round,. nothin' should need changin',....

In addition to the oil pan replace the timing cover also. They never got any paint on them where the balancer spokes were when the engine was painted at the factory. After painting them I used also coat them with the 3M underbody spray for extra protection.
