Oil Pan Plug Thread Size?

Can anyone tell me the thread size on my oil pan plug? I have NO IDEA where to find the specs in any books or on the web. Ive got a 1997 Mercruiser 454 Mag 7.4L .....I think it might be 12mm? Thanks!<br /><br />Scott

All the charts I have seen list a marine GM 454 as 1/2-20 UNF.

Can you show me the Chart on the internet, or wherever, that says this? I know that the bolt head on the plug is 15mm, I removed it and checked myself. I was almost certain all Marine engines (GM) made after 95' were Metric.
