I have a omc 4.3 cobra 1986. The elbow that go's into the oil pan and also holds the dip stick has a plug on the bottom but is rusted in. I did remove the dip stick to drain the oil ,should the elbow now just screw out like a regular drain plug would? I would like to change plug so I can use to drain oil next time Thanks for any help....

Thanks for reply what is a bango fitting and bango bolt is it just different threads than a standard drain plug? I am asking because I do not know what it is and do not want to screw anything up I am ready to unscrew but do not want to make more work for myself Thanks again.....

Banjo fittings are hollow fittings/bolts with a hole drilled in the diameter. The work kind of like a faucet to allow fluid to flow when the holes are lined up.

Google "banjo fitting", you'll see.
