I have a 2000 Bayliner 2455 with the 350 engine. Is it possible to replace the oil pan without pulling the engine?

It depends on how much clearance you have between the bottom of the engine and the hull. My 4.3 might barely clear (hope to never have to try) on my Deckliner but usually the answer is no.

:welcome: to iBoats . . .

It might be possible or impossible. Single engine . . . right? Those tend to sit low in the engine bay because they are right at the keel. so, you may not have enough clearance.

Getting a new oil pan in would also be a world-class feat.

first, welcome aboard

now on to your question..... if you cut the bottom of the boat out......yes

if not, pull the motor. you most likely need to do transom work on the boat anyway.

pulling the motor is about 30-40 minutes more work than pulling a drive. you should be pulling the drive every year for maintenance.

easiest way to get the oil pan off is pull the motor.

Pulling boat motors is very easy. The difficult part is lifting over the sides. If you have access to a hoist lift the motor put down lots of plastic sheeting to protect the interior. place blocks down to set the motor down on the mounts that will lift it high enough to access the pan. While the motor is up it's a good idea to check your mounts, coupler, and transom.
