2007 3.0 L mercruiser developed an 1/8" small rust hole in the oil pan. New pan $500 plus. Any thoughts on repairing the small hole with epoxy or some other repair?

I've fixed many rusty pans successfully. Just pull the pan off, cut the rusty bits out and TIG weld new sections in. Here's the secret. Get the pan hot dip galvanized and two pack paint it after. Never have another rust problem.

Your 3 litre oil pan is the same as the 2.5 litre. And that engine was fitted to the Nova and Astro vehicles. Go to GM and get a new pan for one of those, cost you about $135. The GM part number is 10044683. https://www.gmpartsonline.net/1990-chevrolet-p30.html
