"Oil pressure fault" 1999 Ficht 150

I have a 1999 ficht 150 and after running fine for over 100 hours (I bought it used in June of 2018) on the water for almost 4 years of fishing seasons it now is running a bit rough and at a fast idle (approx 1200 rpm, I have the diagnostic software as well) and has some milky white fluid (water and unburned fuel or oil I assume) coming from the prop exhaust hole that was never there before. I have changed plugs & water pump twice( just did the water pump). No issues with those. Also just changed the seals on the upper driveshaft bearing and shift rod seal assembly as I had a bit of water in my lower unit. On the diagnostic software when the motor is off everything shows as fine and there are no active codes. Once the motor is started and running the software shows an "oil pressure fault" on the monitor page but no code on the page that shows error codes. Anyone have any idea what that "oil pressure fault" is or what will, could or would cause the milky stuff to come out of my prop exhaust? I know some say it could be excess oil from winterizing fogging but I don't winterize as I live in Texas and can usually fish all year. First software pics are from today. Last 2 are from last year when I first noticed the problem. Have not run it between the 2 test times at all except for the testing times.

missing oil pressure pulse on a ETEC is a code 38 fault may be due to air bubbles in a fuel line...

see if you can purge the oil lines if anything like a ETEC

ON etec the issue eventually had to be fix with a new oil pump and more...tolerant software to missing pressure pulse intervals

@CaptainSnake please refrain from posting in old inactive topics. Also don't attempt to defeat the auto-censor of competitive online sites.

Sorry it was the only post I saw relevant to what I was trying to get help with. Didn't even look at the date. Will be more observant in future.

Not even sure what you mean by the auto censor thing and didn't realize this was a sponsored sight and not a public forum.

Again apologies to any damage done or slight taken. Not intended, just trying to fix a motor.

I am doing that next
If compression is bad in a cylinder what can/does that indicate? Bad rings. Bad gasket. Cracked cylinder or block?

Thanks for any help you can give

Could be a pintle dropped in injector, causing flooding, damage to top of piston and walls, broken skirt on piston.

So results of compression check are as follows
Port. Starboard
Cyl 1 90 psi Cyl 2 91
Cyl 3 89 Cyl 4 93
Cyl 5 97 Cyl 6 96
So not at the 100 standard but not far off.
Also note this is the first compression test I have ever done in my life on any engine. Just never had the call to do it before. Followed the Seloc manual and everything went fine. Gauge is brand new. That being said I may not have tightened the fitting down as tight as needed, erring on the side of not over cranking it and stripping the plug port or snapping it off in there.

Also note there was no evidence of any water or rust on plugs or in or around the plug port. Cylinders looked good inside upon visual inspection with a light too.

Book recommends decarbing pistons to try and increase compression. Did that and am letting it sit overnight.

I think it may be to much oil pressure as I seem to be habing an excessive amount leaking back out the throttle body openings. Is this potential back pressure or "blow by" as I have heard it called.

Just wish I knew exactly what the "oil pressure fault" on my diagnostic software monitor page while the engine is running meant exactly. Does it mean too much pressure? Not enough? None?

Also there are still no active codes when motor is running or after. Video and/or pic of motor running a diagnostic software page attached.

generally speaking oil pressure or "LACK OF" is detected as "X" missing oil pump pulses during "Y" time in the ETEC software logic. The EV diagnostic for 2004-2005 + software for ETEC works on FICHT and presumably your FICHT sw looks for similar alarm conditions (heat- oil-tps etc...)

that said I suspect your OIL PRESSURE FAULT is like a code 38 alarm (missing pressure pulses) on the newer ETEC's. that issue was chronic as in my 2005 75 hp :-( and the solution was a SW update to make the EMM less critical in it's alarm decision making process . A new oil pump as also introduced with the sw mod.

I ran for 7-8 years with intermittent code 38s and momenraty SAFE mode which I could clear by doing a ETEC winterize which would pusg out any air bubbles in the oil line feeding pulses to the pressure detection sensor. Evinrude eventually fixed it for me. My 75hp is now 17 years old and working fine.

This alarm code 38 is not related to LOW OIL in the oil tank

on modern ETEC other types of alarms related to PRESSURE
yet they do not declare SAFE or SHUTDOWN. the ETEC user site which does not answer queries on FICHT has a good search utility .. maybe you can find an answer since ETEC evolved from FICHT

In conclusion ... try to get a FICHT service manual to clarify what exactly a FICHT does with similar conditions..

Thanks for the reply and time spent trying to help me solve my issue.

I do have a service manual. Will check for those conditions. And not sure if it matters but I also NEVER had any warning lights on the dash come on ever during this whole process.
