Oil pressure switch

I have the oil pressure sensor hooked up near the intake. While finishing a he install of a new engine I ran across a plug that I can only imagine goes to the oil pressure switch on the side of the block near the oil filter. I can’t locate this replacement switch. It is a triangular 3 pin connector. This is a 99 model Chris Craft boat.

if you have an electric fuel pump for the carb that probably what the plug is for you can convert to a standard pressure switch because the Merc ones dont last
A 3 pin connector with only 2 wires?

If I’m being honest I don’t know how many wires are on the plug. I see 3 pin outs on the connector. Do you have a part number to convert to a 2 wire setup? BTW this is on a Volvo, but the boat has been such a hauppage, I wouldn’t be surprised to have mercruiser connectors lol.

If you have an electric fuel pump for a carb you need the switch to shut off the fuel pump when the engine is off or you lose oil pressure . [h=1]Carter A68301 Engine Oil Pressure Switch and a small cube type relay from A Blazer fuel pump relay.[/h]

The harness appears to be pretty original, so I’m mostly Volvo. I’ll check the wiring on it and see how many wires it has. From all my research it looks like Volvo switches are a single blade style instead of my 3 pin connector.

The plug I thought went there was a female plug and I found the male side lol. Ended up just putting a pipe plug in the hole in the block.
