Oil pressure too high?

Got about 23 hours on a reman long block 4.3. Break in oil was 15W30 but at 20 hours I changed oil and filter and used SAE30 Rotella. Yesterday on the lake and pulling tubes, I noticed oil pressure running about 75 PSI at about 3500 RPM which before changing oil, was running about 62 PSI for same engine RPM. Is 75 under a heavy load too much for this engine? Is SAE 30 too thick for this engine?

Sorry, original break in oil was 15W40, not 15W30.

75's good.
No 30wt not too thick.
Get a mechanical gauge and retest, it could be the senders reading wrong???
What oil did Volvo recommend for the original motor.
I think something like a (10/30Volvo) 10/40 or 5/30 but not positive??

For the 4.3, the OMC manual says SAE 30 and that multi-viscosity oils such as 10W-30 or 10W-40 is not recommended. The VP manual says above freezing can use either SAE 30 or 20W-50. My original engine was labeled as a 4.3 GL Cobra but was made by VP.

The reason I was asking this question was because I thought 75 PSI seemed high for 3500 RPM's and I googled and found others were running between 45-60 for similar RPM's. Maybe the tighter reman along with different oil viscosity makes a difference. Just didn't want to run too high.
