I have a 1990 mercury 2 stroke 90 horse, with the oil injection on it. I had to take the oil tank off, and had to undo the inlet and outlet oil hose. I got the hoses back on, and I bled the inlet hose till no air bubbles, but my question is, what do I need to do to get the oil up to the outlet hose and into the fuel pump? I've got a manual, but it doesn't really explain that well. Thanks alot.

Theres a banjo fitting on top of the oil pump. Loosen the bolt until it leaks oil. Let oil flow out until there is no more air and then tighten the bolt back up.

Crank the motor with the plugs grounded and the oil line to the fuel pump disconnected. When the bubbles are gone you're good to go. Most of use remove the standard oil line and put a clear one on so we can see the oil flowing.

Thanks, I will give that a try. How is the best way to ground the spark plugs?

That's something that is often debated. However, since you ask for the best method, the best is to use the CDI spark gap tester. You can however, rig up a system of wire and clips.

You should never turn an engine over that you do not want to start without grounding the plugs, you can damage the coils and possibly the switch boxes.
