Oil question

I have a 2000 Johnson 90 HP and currently use XD 50 oil in the injection system (VRO). Could I use the XD 100 or would it be a waste of money? If I do switch to the XD 100 do I have to empty the oil tank?

Another question: is there a filter on the oil system on this motor? and if so how do I change it?

The oil filter #0174377 is in the oil tank. It should be replaced as part of VRO component service. They can also be cleaned, but a new one is about $7.00.

You owner's manual should specify the correct oil for your engine.
