Oil Question

Have an outing scheduled after work and realizied I ran out of outboard oil. Sent the wife out to get some.<br />She couldnt find the brand I used, and someone at the boat store talked her into Havoline 2 cycle oil.<br />Iam a little leary to use it, does any one have experience with this oil or comments?<br /> Thanks

Havoline is Texaco and should be fine. I used it for a number of years when it was available locally.

Been using the same oil for 3 seasons now, no problem.

I used to use it until I switched to Penzoil. As long as the oil is TCW-3, you should be okay. You may, however, notice a bit more smoke with the Havoline/Texaco oils. Other than that, it should be fine.<br /><br />Go have fun!
