In trouble shooting a recent oil warning I checked the oil reserve on my 1992 175 hp Mariner. The manual says to check to see if the oil is low or full. The tank is about half full. Is this low or normal or full? Also i noticed that the cap to the tank is craked and will not tighten, hopefully I will have this replaced tomorrow. My question is if the tank is half full would that cause the warning censor to alarm or is it probably just the crack in the cap that is causing this? Thanks For your help.
