oil selection??

I dont live near a dealer so i dont think there is a place to get the 25-40wt quicksilver thats recommended, i plan on A WIX filter and castrol non synthetic but which WT. ? also is there a cross reference for the fuel water separator? 1999 5.7 chevy merc.

Did you check the iboats store for your oil and seperator? They deliver pretty much everywhere.

Sorry, I assumed you were interested in using what the manufacturer recomended.

do a search on this forum for "25w40". When you are finished reading, use whatever you want.

went with a straight 40wt valvoline and cross referanced the oil filter and fuel filter/separator, both NAPA marine
