Omc V-8 1989 Ford 300, I think, pretty sure. Last year when I put my boat in the water it ran fine till I gave it some gas to see how fast it would go. SMOKE EVERYWHERE, I picked up the hood and oil was all over the port manifold. All I could think of was a loose valve cover. Could it come from anywhere eles? or is the valve cover the only place. The iol filter was tight. Any ideas ? thanks Jack

Front Timing cover? Metal gets rusty, holes develop, time to do some close inspection maybe while the engine is running.
Oil filling up the front cover, coming out the front seal? onto the main pulley then thrown anywhere.
