hey folks,
i have a 1994 yamaya sws 200hp and been having oil transfer problems, i have checked all the usual problems sensors in both tanks, filter, wiring harnesses, pump. i have been filling the engine tank by bypassing the pump directly to the battery and it fills the tank. i cannot fill the tank with the emergency toggle swith, when i toggle the switch the alarm goes off. this weekend when i was looking into it further i saw the CDI had a little burn hole in the middle and it looked like there was some traces of a little fire. i'm wondering if this could have something to do with my transfer problem ? one more thing is i just installed a new digital tach (original yamaha) and everything works except the tach. maybe same problem ? i guess my question is can a bad CDI be causing my problems ?
