Oil use question????

Does it matter what type of 2-stroke oil i use as long as it is tc-w3 labled??? Like can i use walmart super tec brand over quicksilver?

What a loaded question!! As long as it is marked Certified TCW-3 and bears the NMMA logo, it has been submitted to NMMA for testing and has passed. There is nothing saying that a particular oil can't be better than that. Also, beware of oils that have double-talk like "meets TCW-3 specifications" If it doesn't have the NMMA logo, either it hasn't been submitted and tested --OR-- it has been submitted and failed the test.

Sounds like you are on the cheap (which I don't blame you). However, if you are willing to spring for the cost, 100% Synthetic will give a lot less smoke and oil slick and is bio-degradeable. Again, the logo counts. I'm as cheap as anybody, but I use the Synthetic.

I'm not convinced you're allowed to make the cheapness claim *and* use synthetic. At least not 100% synthetic.

I did use some Citgo when it was on sale at basspro, but never again!

i'm a super tech user all the way. walmart all the way. My clothier is Walm Art, also.
