I converted my 200hp Mariner to run on premix fuel. Since the conversion, today is the first time I ran the engine. The warning buzzer is screaming. The oil tank is full of oil, I filled it, and plugged all the in and outlets. Prior to the conversion it would not alarm when the engine was running. Now I can't get it to stop. Anyone know what I have to do to get it to stop???? It is a 1989 model.

The alarm on my engine is connected between 12v and the sensor (both oil and temp) which connects to ground on failing which allows current to pass and the alarm to sound. You apparently have a short somewhere that is grounding the sense wire. On my engine of a different hp, tan or tan with light blue stripe is the color of the sense wire in the engine and if using a Commander 2000 or 3000 remote control with an 8 pin engine harness connector it's on pin 3 at the engine connector.

Remove or at least disconnect tha warning module. Just a question though. Why leave all tha oiler stuff on tha motor and not install tha delete kit?.........

I did install the delete kit. Doesn't the buzzer sound if the temp gets too high also??? If so I would like to leave it for that reason.

If ya installed tha stuff then why would ya add oil to tha tank? Does tha thing buzz solid or intermittent? Does it come on with just tha key being turned on? or after tha motor runs a few minutes?

Even though tha over heat and oiler use tha same buzzer they are completely separate as for sending an alarm. Disconnecting tha oiler will not have anything at all ta do with over heat (solid) buzz...

The first time I started it up after converting it all it did was buzz from the second I turned the key on and the whole time it was running.

I filled the tank with oil because I figured the float on the cap would make it alarm if I left it empty. So I filled it up capped all the outlets and put the cap back on.

Alrighty. Sounds like tha temp sensor is grounded. Ya need ta completely disconnect tha oiler warning module ta eliminate it as a problem. Ta make sure ya get tha right module, trace tha blue and white from tha cap to tha module. Disconnect all wires comin' out of tha module. One of which should be a tan/blue that goes to a terminal with another tan/blue comin' from tha temp sensor and a tan comin' out of tha harness. Leave tha temp and harness wires terminated. Disconnect tha one goin' to tha module. Tha buzzer is sounding because tha wire coming out of tha harness is grounded somewhere between tha buzzer and tha temp sensor itself. Could also be a bad temp sensor. Disconnect tha wire from tha sensor at tha term strip and try again. Buzz goes away ya gotta bad sensor. Have seen this scenario a coupla times. Tha eyelet gets turned and/or skint a little and goes ta ground at tha term strip by touching a mounting screw.........That TEMP circuit has ta be grounded somewhere to get an immediate constant buzz..........
