I just bought a 2000 model year yamaha 4 stoke the owners manuel did not specifiy to use outboard 4 stoke oil they just said to use 4 stroke oil does that mean i can use a good grade of car oil 10-30 or 10-40 etc.<br />Thanks
A new marine-specific oil is now available. That's within this last year. Look for FCW on the label. They sell it most places they sell inferior car oil.
