Ok, got the 200 bolted up...WORKED AWSOME. I have some fine tuning to do. As i didnt adjust the shift cable just right and it kinda sticks into reverse sometimes. But i have that under control. Also have a fuel leak going to trouble shoot that down, and i think that might be the cause of my problem that i have. Ok when shes warm she kind of puffs, and sputters, sometimes dieing sometimes not. Has very strong spark and rebuilt carbs last week. SO...i am thinking that my little fuel hose leak which is coming right where the main line comes into the pump, is causing not enough fuel pressure, or is somehow cuasing bubbles or whatever in the fuel lines, causing it to puff and sputter sometimes at idle, and sometimes i feel a noticable decrease in RPM at WOT. SO....am i onto something? I mean the mtor hasnt been run in about 3-4 months. SO, should i fix the problem and run a tank a two through it to see if that helps? I am going to fix the fuel problem either way i just want to know if i should look for something else. I whole heartadly appreciate all the guurus that help on these boards. If i could donate i would. after the corps i plan on going to MMI or Wyotech, i love this crap!

The fuel leak is a definate problem, double check the inner diameter of the line and replace it. Did you set your idle while on the water, it will be different than on the muffs. ALso get rid of that old fuel. Good luck.

ok thanx for the tips, didnt set the idle in the water will try that. i dont think its the line i think its the fitting that actually goes into the fuel pump. I got rid of the old fuel already was using a portable can for these tests thanx fellas.

so would that leaky connection cause the lean condition that i beleive i am experiencing. I mean i am pretty dead set on that as the culprit (the lean condition) because everything i have read points to that.

Any source of unwanted air in the fuel side can cause the engine to run lean with potentially very high damage to the engine. The high levels of heat generated because of the extra oxygen can actually melt and throw off particles of metal from the pistons.
