anyone seen the grandstanding about the arrest orders for Tom Delay?
its sickening. if the man laundered money, smoke him. but its not like he was a flight risk or anything. I dont mind the grand jury indictments, I do mind theatrics while doing it.

I'm sure someone will try to say... "It's Bush's fault".

Hope he didn't do it, we'll see if a fair investigation follows.

Anyone indited for a felony must be arrested, booked, and fingerprinted.

If the arrest warrant is a bit over the top and political, so be it.

No one should understand hardball politics and dirty tricks better than Tom Delay. What goes around comes around.

Used to have a salesmanager who had a saying... "When you're on top of the needle, there's always somebody below trying to p-r-i-c-k you.

in some states that is the law, its how it works here. I dont know about texas law. if its the law then its perfectly acceptable. each state is slightly different in how to handle felony indictments.
but it still smacks of theatrics, I hope I am wrong and its just media hype over a texas law.

It's your only hope to win back power. You can't win at the ballot box, so you'll throw a bunch of indictments and see what sticks. Trying to win by scandal. How pathetic.

Hey Rod... was Clinton ever officially indicted for his lying?? I know he lost his law license over it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think his license was suspended for 5 years in 1991. That also ended the Arkansas Bar Association's disbarment proceedings pending against him.

I haven't seen any grandstanding. Where might I find it? I have seen reports on CNN and FOX of his arrest and booking.

No way, JB.

Fitzgerald is a no nonsense kind of guy who indicted lots of folks in Chicago for what most just called "Politics as usual" And they were mostly Dems, BTW. I personally would like to see this kind of politics cleaned up, but I suppose that is too much to ask...

What's most troubling, and not a little ironic to me in this whole deal is Judith Miller and the New York Times role in this lead-up, and selling the idea of war.

We may never get to the bottom of it, but it is troubling.

The administration has already shown their willingness to manipulate the media to do their bidding (Armstrong Williams case, among others), and it is troubling

For some reason, the name Clinton is coming to mind. I don't know why.

Though the funny thing is that this isn't about regaining power. I know I've been convinced that the Bush Administration is probably the most shady we've ever had that I can recall. I would even go as far as to call it criminal, while others would call me a crazy left wing nut job for saying so. Yet these are the same people who had no problem spending $90 million chasing a BJ that never amounted to anything. Hmm....Bush Jr. only spent $3 million invrstigating 9/11. So who has their priorities where? Now we have several administration officials caught up in a REAL scandal, and its just us left wingers wanting to regain power. It's as if the Administration can do no wrong to some people. I'll admit that they get blamed for more then they should, but come on people. This is the real deal. Grow a set and stand up to the corruption instead of embracing it. This is about right and wrong, not right and left.

The main point of this entire show is the theatrics, Rodbolt... the video footage of the "perp-walk" showing delay in an orange jump-suit and ankle chains is the soul purpose. A conviction would just be icing on the cake. The main objective has already been a "success".

I don't care what he looks like, as long as there are iron bars surrounding him.
