But I have to ask

when I put my 1994 150 HP Johnson fast strike in reverse it makes a clicking noise and looks like the motor want to rise back up...I have no problems forward. I have checkewd the back and nothing seems loose

Also I might add that I'm not really goosing it in reverse

Can you reverse when trimmed little over half way

by the way what is a good lower unit oil for my motor

Thanks Will

Make sure you do not "gingerly" put it in gear....your gears will wear as they try to"catch!"

MAke sure the leg is in the water so the water pump is submerged.

should have a reverse lock on it. The clicking may be shift linkage out of adjust which would also explain the reverse lock not engaging.

could be a cable adjustment, or the shift rod. get it fixed before you ruin your gears.
