just so everyone knows. its a 15'6" bow rider with a 90hp 2-stroke outboard. I pulled it down to the skeleton and redid the floors, etc. I thought the original problem with leaning was that all the old flotation foam was soaking wet...which was all removed.

with me and my girl in the boat, it was slightlying leaning to the starboard side and what seems like it was pulling to this side as well. reason I say this is it took more effort from the wheel to steer port than to starboard. I know in a small boat like this weight distribution can compound this issue...so here's the info. Me (195lb) on starboard at helm with battery (whatever it weighs) at transom on my side. my girl on the port side (130-lb) with full 10 gallon gas tank. rest of the boat was level as far as additional weight.

the engine has the factory plastic hydrofoil on it which may be deforming while under way as well but not sure. I also see some water splashing up from the port side of the engine bracket into the splashwell while at speed. (its right up under the engine cowl on the bracket portion). there are no trim tabs on this boat either.

I've been reading that rotating the little engine anode can somewhat help this but I dont know if it will really help the issue or if I need to get some smart tabs and/or put an aluminum hydrofoil on the engine.

as for the orientation of the little trim tab...with the way I've been reading with it set to ( I ) and I'm leaning to starboard, I want to rotate it so its facing like this correct? ( / )

imho. first thing i'd do is remove the hydrofoil. i've never seen that as a factory install from anyone. they are always and after thought. see what that does for your lean, if anything.

as for the trim tab (anode). ya adjust them to the side that steers easiest. so if it steers easy to starboard, and hard to port. ya spin the tab to starboard. this adj. is only for ease of steering and i doubt will effect your list. also, this adj. is for one speed, one load, one trim setting. all other conditions and steering will be heavier one way than the other.

alright, I'll take off the hydrofoil and give it a run without it. only reason I thought it was factory was I cant imagine an aftermarket company trying to get money for something plastic like this lol.
