thanks for your help but now that i have decided to change to the 4.3 just what kind of work will i have to do.please give me all the information that you can.i have know idea.is there a how to section here or cani get a book somewhere that tells how to do it and what it will take. thanks again for all your help on this matter.

you are right.sorry for the mix up.i wanted to know if i changed my mercruiser 190 to a 4.3 engine what kind of work would have to be done.and i would also like to know if there is a book on the subject.and could someone please tell me what kind of engine a 3.0 liter is .chevy or ford or what.

timothy,<br /><br />I assime your 190 is a four cylinder 3.7L? If so, that may help some of the I/O experts here.<br /><br />The 3.0L is a GM based-marinized 4 cylinder. It is a current "industrial" engine application and takes its heritage back to the Chevy II.

you are right it is an 3.7 liter.thanks for your help.sorry i am very new to this in board thing.allways had outboard.
