Old Uncle Joe went swimming with them dolphins a while back while attending a bean eating contest. All this time I thought he was joking about what he taught those dolphins with his excess gas. :D

That is cool to watch. I think I would come up with something different to do being locked up in a big tank all the time.

If you're ever in blue water on a ship, make your way to the bow. They like to play chicken. They will swim dead on to the ships prow and dart off at the last second. They will also swim with you at the bow. The old salts told me they are good luck.

communication and teaching. WOW
Makes you wonder where they would be on the evolutionary scale if the would have stayed on land and had the opportunity to develop a written language. Would they be as smart a dogs? chimps? humans?
Just points to ponder

As mthieme said. they like to play chicken, or escort you. last year the day after Thanksgiving, i took a solitary 6 hour cruise from the ramp to the ocean and back. on the way back i stopped to take some pictures, and watch the dolphins play. when i started the boat, to continue on my way. the dolphins surrounded the boat, and escorted me on my way for about 1 1/2 miles. i was just above idle speed. they would surface and roll 1 ft from the each pontoon, in pairs. after a while i slowly increased throttle slowly, and they finally quit so i could speed up. but they were too fast to get pictures.
