OK to replace bolts with stainless?

I've noticed on my 87 V4 90hp 'rude that a few of my bolts are starting to corrode (a couple holding down the cylinder heads, the powerhead-to-leg bolts, etc).

As I hate rust with a passion, is it ok to replace these with an equal-or-greater grade stainless bolt or will I run into problems with galling, stripped threads or electrolytic action?

Thanks in advance,

SJF

Joe....ya' may find that stainless will corrode and give you more problems than the alloy bolts you have now. Best thing to do is pull the bolts out, clean them up, chase out the hole with a tap if possible and coat the bolt with a liquid gasket sealer and put the bolt back in.
