Is it OK to run fuel stabilizer in my fuel year round? I only get out every weekend or every other weekend and want to protect my fuel system from deposits. I use stabilizer year round in my lawn mower and yard equipment, what about my outboard? Thanks

2000 40hp Merc.

That's good to hear.

Another question is, what is decarbing an engine and where do I buy the additive to add to my gas to do it? Thanks

You can use fuel stabilizer all the time.Decarbing can be done by using Mercury Power Tune available froma mercury dealer there are lots of products that do the same thing. You squirt them down the carbs with the engine running then stall the motor by flooding it with the product leave it to soak a while then run it flatout for a while & it blows all the carbon out the exhaust well thats the theory Ive never used it but ive been told it works...
