Just heard this on the New York Local news station. (you'll really love this Kenny if you did not hear.)

Great there goes the taxes again. I didn't realize it but the NYC school system sends home announcements in 8 languages.

I don't now about NYC but here in NJ if you break the law and you can't or will not speak English the court has to provide you an interpreter. I just paid $276 for 2 hours worth of work done by a Vietnamese interpretor.

This whole thing frosts me. What happen to the days when our Grandparents did their darnedest to fit in and assimilate into there environment.

When I start spouting off about the BS of Social Engineering this is a classic example of what it is I'm talking about.

Quote from the PTA rep that was at the news conference regarding the immigrant that could not understand the principal.

Parents groups and immigrants are now complaining that they should have qualified interpreters when they come to see school official.Immigrant parents have hard time understanding their kid's schoolwork
Thursday February 19, 2004
(New York-AP) -- Immigrant parents who are not proficient in English have a hard time understanding their children's schoolwork. A survey of one thousand foreign born parents with kids in New York City schools found that 47 percent never or rarely saw information from school in their native language.

The survey was done after Mayor Michael Bloomberg stressed that parents must be involved in their youngsters' education.

The survey found that 60 percent of the time when an immigrant parent attempted to contact the school, the school responded in English.

One quarter of those surveyed said they signed papers from school without knowing what they were signing.

Seventy-five percent of the parents said they would actively participate in the school if they could understand what was being done.

The survey was done for the New York Immigration Coalition and the Advocates for Children.
Hunny life ain't fair, get over it. And it certainly does not give you an excuse to steal my money in the form of more taxes. Classes to get them to speak English I would support anything that continues their current attitude of thumbing their nose at our system and society and we must bend over backward for is just out of the question.

Okay I think I'm done now."IT'S NOT FAIR THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT PROVIDED FOR."
