I noticed this on the internet the other day:
35hp Schematic

That came out of the back of a service manual. I strongly suggest you pick one up - it'll save a _lot_ of frustration.

I hope that helps though.

Paul Moir already posted a wiring diagram for you. Is there a reason you can't use that?

All of us here have spent more money than we'd like on our outboards. Without a manual, you're working in the dark. With one, you'll succeed.

Do check out the wiring diagram posted above.

you really need to get the manual. try E-bay, I got mine from there, only US$10.00

You sound now like you need to re-build your carb.
Hence the need to get the manual....
It's a small price to pay for a huge piece of info you always be able to look to.

On top of that the service manual will tell you how tune your motor so that it starts and runs properly. It will also help when posting here, because you will be making refrence to the manual, and we can point you in the right direction. At the moment, when we tell you what to do, you may mis-interpret the explanation and end up in a bigger mess than you started with.

With a manual, we can help you completely strip and re-build the engine.

http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=28;t=024177#000000

have look at this link and you get the idea.
