the short- what is holding the screws in and how to i reattach when i get another transom built? Also not too important now but it had a bunch of things attached to it. Like handles Eyelets, hooks. How do i know what has to be back on there?
This boat i believe is a 196(0) something? maybe 18 feet long give or take some feet. I have not searched for what it is but seems like they said it was a crestliner. I got this from in-laws and they have passed on.
so it has a 40 horse Johnson outboard and the transom (plywood) warped and rotted. getting it off was a chore some is intact so can use as template. I cut a couple screws/bolts and several others just snapped, then i thought to cut around the rest. So now i have bolts and screws sticking out that wont come out and there is no access to inside. I am guessing there is a nut on the inside or what??
Thats it, what is holding them in and how to I reattach when i get another transom built? Also not too important now but it had a bunch of things attached to it. Like handles Eyelets, hooks. How do i know what has to be back on there?/
