hi,

well have now started restoring old Penta inboards after many years on outboards,

First up a mid 60's AQ110/100, so the engine runs like a dream, the outdrive turns freely and selects gears, so far so good.

HELP the only bit missing is the Zepper joint, now i have contacted most old VP dealers in the uk looking for the joint, so time to spread the search to the other side of the pond, do any of you people have one ? or know someone who has one kicking about ? or some small back water dealer who has one ? this really is too good a setup / piece of history to let disappear.

regards in advance

Re: Old AQ Drive

A Rzeppa joint is a C/V joint (constant velocity). Did the old VP outdrives use C/V joints?

Re: Old AQ Drive

yep VP did use the "baked bean tin can" zep joint in the first outdrives, before they went to sliding UJ systems, and i can not even convert it as the output shaft is fastened into the bell housing and the drive input shaft is also fixed, so i do need a bean can CV
