Hey All, I've just joined this Iboat forum tonight. I've followed several of you by watching the forum from time to time. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from all your experiences. I started with an old Lund 14' Pike boat made in the 60's equipped with a 25hp Mercury. Got the wife and I all around Lake Lanier here in N.E. GA to take part in our favorite pass time, laid back country fishing for Bass & Crappie. Recently upgraded to a 1987 Venture Tournament Edition bass boat equipped with a 150 Mercury XR-2. I have a manual on the motor, but not the boat. So, does anybody out there know where I may be able to get a owner's boat manual for a boat that hasn't been manufactured for 20 some odd years? I've looked every where I know to look. OK,....take it easy on me, I'm still green with boats and motors, but eager to learn. Thanks

Re: Old Boat Manual

Welcome to iboats.

Generally boats don't have manuals like cars do, they mostly cover the stereo and alot of legal stuff but nothing like what come with your car.

Was there something specific you wanted to know?

Re: Old Boat Manual

Good morning and thanks for the reply. Yeah, the boat has a few features I've never had before, such as live wells, one forward and one aft. I see theres lever type controls beneath the remote gear/throttle controls. But thought there may be further instruction on best ways to use them. I also noticed there's an aerator switch on the console. I just like to know how to operate something and a basic idea of how it all works before monkeying with it. Any clues? Thanks again.
